Ministry of Housing and Public Circular 2024 has been published. The Directorate of Architecture under the Ministry of Housing and Public Works will directly appoint 42 people on temporary basis in seven departments. Applications can be submitted online only.

1. Name of the post and grade: Draftsman (Designer Grade-2)
Number of posts: 01, Salary: 11,300-27,300/-, Grade: 12
Educational qualification: Diploma in Architecture from Bangladesh Technical Education Board and two years of experience in Computer Aided Drafting.
2. Name of the post: Short cum Computer Operator
Number of posts: 04, Salary: 10,200-24,680/-, Grade: 14
Educational qualification: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with minimum 2nd class or equivalent CGPA from a recognized university and a short speed of 45 and 70 in Bengali and English respectively.
3. Name of the post: Draftsman (Draftsman Grade-4)
Number of posts: 08, Salary: 9,700-23,490/-, Grade: 15
Educational Qualifications: a. Higher Secondary
or equivalent examination with 2nd division or equivalent GPA. Two years of Civil/Architecture/Building Drafting Certificate from a recognized board and two years of practical experience in Computer Aided Drafting from an approved institution.
b. At least four years of Diploma Degree in Architecture from Bangladesh Technical Education Board.
4. Name of the post: Office Assistant cum Computer Typist
Number of posts: 10, Salary: 9,300-22,490/-, Grade: 16
Educational Qualifications: a. Higher Secondary Certificate or equivalent examination with 2nd division or equivalent GPA from a recognized board and
b. Computer typing speed 20 and 20 words per minute in Bangla and English
5. Name of the post: Driver
Number of posts: 03, Salary: 9,300-22,490/-, Grade: 16
Educational qualifications: A. Possession of Junior School Certificate or equivalent examination certificate from a recognized board.
B. Proficient in driving heavy/light vehicles with a valid license (heavy license/light license) issued by the Bangladesh Road Transport Authority.
C. Only candidates who have passed the written test and practical test held in the presence of a representative nominated by the Bangladesh Road Transport Authority (BRT) will be considered eligible for the oral test.

6. Name of the post: Assistant Model Maker
Number of posts: 03, Salary: 8,800-21,310/-, Grade: 18
Educational qualifications: A. Possession of Secondary School Certificate or equivalent examination certificate from a recognized board.
B. Two years Civil/Architecture/Building Drafting Certificate with one year practical experience in Computer Aided Drafting and Model Making.
7. Name of the Post: Office Assistant
Number of Posts: 13, Salary: 8,250-20,010/-, Grade: 20
Educational Qualification: Passed Secondary School Certificate or equivalent examination certificate from a recognized board.

Special Note:
For the post of Assistant Model Maker of Serial No.-06, practical experience in model making does not mean preparing/producing a 3D model through computer software. It will mean a miniature replica of the actual condition of a facility (manually made) as per the architectural design.
Age 18-30 years. However, in the case of Hero Freedom Fighters/Martyred Freedom Fighters or Persons with Disabilities, the age limit is 32 years.
